It was over twenty years ago when my friend, and client, was left in a difficult situation and needed a hand. His company had a lot of work, but no one they could trust to design their factory space. Certain larger firms couldn't be bothered with him, not having time to allocate for what they considered "small work". So on a hand shake, I resigned from my firm to help him. That one factory project lead to another, and that one to more. In what seems like a blur, of designs and specifications, years went by and I found my company quietly growing to become one of the most experienced Industrial Design Architects in the country, with factory projects numbering in the hundreds.
